Ok, Paul, consider me added. I like this applicaiton pretty well. I have not tried 43 places yet but will get to it tomorrow. It is not going to be a problem teaching the kids to get around on any of the maps. I am wondering the strenths and weaknesses of each of the ones you have presented to consider. I think it may come back to ..which one can we back up or go back to an earlier map if anyone accidently or intentionally wipes out the other student's work. I have only tried using them, not erasing them! Would you be available to meet with the mapping community via a skpe conference call? If so, when would it suit you? For everyon in the mapping community, when is a good time for any of you to meet to discuss the coming year, mapping, and elgg? I will set up the call and recording. Just a thought. ~Lee

I just added myself to BuddyMapping. A couple of things I noticed. When i originally uploaded a photo without sizing, it displayed at the original size (very large), and then I couldn't see any of the text that I had entered. It would be nice if the pop up window had an automatic sizing function. So then I sized down a photo to 100 pixels wide; it's of some honeysuckle that I took with a macro lens in my backyard in case you can't tell what it is. The other issue I have is that I tried to code in a link to a Flickr gallery, but it didn't display as a link. I don't think my syntax is wrong. Am I missing something?
Overall, it's simple to use, so that's nice. I could see even the least computer saavy student in my class figuring out how to add an entry to this application.
