This is the way I'd like a mapping project to work: See ActiveTrails.
Maybe we can get links in BuddyMaps which link to rich media stories in quickmaps?

What's the advantage of using BuddyMaps and then linking to Quikmaps? Why not just use Quikmaps?

Quickmaps can only be used individually. We can't create a colloaborative map with it. BuddyMaps is collaborative, but it doesn't allow for drawing paths or adding rich media (much).
You know Paul, I dont mind the idea of using two apps. The concept of multitasking or having multiple links open is one which we emphasize in my comp tech class anyway. It is totally necessary for them to do this to see my class content for the day in moodle, the blog space I am sure will be a favorite and open alot, the word processor page, folders where they store stuff, etc etc. So actually it is a matter of "whats one more" and I like your idea for the those two functions. Now, I must see if they or it will provide us a way to keep a backkup or a version each day in case it is wiped out by someone allowing us to restore it to the day before's map.
