This site needs a logo and a favicon. I'm not much of a designer, but if you need help putting a design in the right format and all, I've just gained expertise in the School of Hard Knocks Department of Logos and Favicons.

So I was thinking about a logo, eh, and I came up with this idea, eh? There's this cool bridge in Taiwan. I've forgotten the name. It's at a place called The Three Fairy Platforms (三仙台). We go there once in a while. Here's a picture.

So, yeah, I was thinking, like, why not use the bridge idea in the logo, and, like ,hey, cool, the letters E and B look sort of like bridges when you turn them on their sides.

The idea I like the most right now is of a two-section bridge, similar to the one in my lest entry, relfected in water. That would give us the E and B acronym. Of course, the letters would be in repose rather than at attention, but we could make it work.

One trick would be to imitate the Star Wars artists and have the reflection a slightly different shape from the original. We could even use a shadow instead of a refelection. I think I like that idea even better. Simpler, and the shadow could fall at an angle

Here's a concept I'd like some comments on.

The idea is to have a series of globes turned to show the more densely inhabited continents (North and South America, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia) with a "compound bridge" spanning them. I personally like the idea of a perspective-oriented image.

Anybody up to creating an original, attractive version of this?

It would be cool if the globes all turned, so that there would be no apparent bias in favour of one hemisphere or the other.

The mockup is pretty cruddy, I know, but it gives the idea.

The globes were all scoffed from Mountain High Maps GlobeShots®.

The bridge from the photo has seven spans: one for each continent, it turns out. And Antarctica is technically inhabited...
