Nellie Deutsch :: Weblog :: Collaborative Projects

October 13, 2006

I would be interested in creating a website for teachers by teachers. The website would link teachers to teachers who wish to collaborate with their classes and co-teach nationally and internationally using MOODLE. Last year I co-taught with a teacher from Montreal on The Perfect Society WebQuest on The Giver. This year I am collaborating on a literature project with a school in Italy: http://www.nelliemuller.com/building_relationship.htm

Keywords: blended learning, blogs, collaborative literature project, Moodle, school exchange, The Giver, vlogs, WebQuest, YOuTube

  1. I think some sort of meeting site for teacher would be great. But I do think this site can do a lot of that. Perhaps we could create a community here (you could create it Nellie) called School Exchange or something like that. Then, anyone who joins that community can post to the community blog that they are looking to work with someone. People can then comment, give them ideas, or join them.

    What do you think?

  2. A cool initiative. You are welcome to use space in SPAJAL, too.

  4. Yes, please! Let's create a community here called School Exchange. We are looking for Spanish speaking students in another country to collaborate with our native English speaking Spanish students in New York City.

  5. Dear Susan,

I apologize for responding after a whole year. I suggest you join WebHeads in Action. They will help help you find Spanish speaking students.

Please join me in Blended Learning on school exchange programs.

  6. Hi arvind s grover,

I did not configure the blog to send me email when comments were made, so I am a year late. Join me at Blended Learning for further ideas.
